Growing up I always considered I had perfect eyesight; nobody inside my family had a problem seeing, so why would I be any different? I usually had a hard time seeing the board from the back of the classroom, but I merely figured that's the way everyone’s eyes were. When I was 16 and in drivers Ed, a doctor came to our school to run a number of eyesight checks on our eyes. To my surprise my test returned negative, and they said I needed eyeglasses. I was in shock, I never in a million years would ever actually dream that I needed glasses, but once the testing came back negative it all started to make sense.
